Like the theory of evolution. Who has access to all of those fossils to verify a continuing line of evolution?

    You don't believe in evolution?

I do but unless you are able to look at all of the evidence yourself and verify that it is what it is purported to be and test it and verify the theory for yourself, then you are just trusting that what you are told is true. But in order to do all of that, you would have to have access to all of that evidence, and in order to test it, you would need access to the know-how of how to do it and a knowledge background that would be around a Doctorate-level of education, and access to all of the tools necessary to test it to verify the theory for yourself, all of which can take years, probably decades to do, so not everybody can test it and verify the theory for themselves, meaning that most people are just trusting what they have been told. :)

I find it interesting that you somehow don't apply this standard to god as well.

I use Christianity for emotional strength. I don't really care if it is true or not.

    Strength or support?

How does going to going to church, but not believing help you?

    Strength.
Well, it can't be disproved, so I can believe that it is true.

So, you don't care if you believe something false? How does that give you strength? :|

It hasn't been proven to be false, so I can believe it to be true. And it is up in the air about whether it is true or not, only when looking through the lens of fact-based thinking. I'm not using that lens. I'm using a religious (Christian)-based thinking. :|

You're already a triple changer, you don't need anything else to prove your strength.

I kind of already explained it, lol. :) You assume that God is real and you assume that He has passed down divine revelations. And you go about thinking about things within that perspective. :)

Have you ever played that game where you sit in a circle and one person whispers something on the next person and so on?

For example the first person whispers "dogs are man's best friend"

And the second person says to the third "cats are better than dogs"

And by the time it gets all the way around, you're left with "your aunt licks peanut butter from her dogs ass"

That's how I feel about religion.

Going back to wanting evidence or proof of evolution and not just taking some scientists word for it. But taking the Bible as literal may doesn't make sense to me.

How can you be so paradoxical?
