@Vassago bitched about a lack of new threads, so here you go Is anyone else bouncing off the walls excited for this shit? Has everyone seen the original? I was a baby when the mini series came out but saw it on VHS a few years later when I was about six. To this day I still consider this to be my favourite horror movie of all time and one of my favourite books.
I'm very excited for this. It was the scariest movie when I was a kid and it is still up there. I love the look of the clown, it looks perfect.
The new one, right? SO fucking good!! I'm not usually down when my favourite movies get remade but I'm all in for this one. If I thought I would be let in I'd go see it in full OG Pennywise attire. But these days people don't take kindly to scary clowns in public places.
Same here, I can't wait to see it. I've only watched one preview so far, but the style and scenes looked like they were keeping it to the original pretty closely. The trailer came out at the perfect timing, it was soon after I put together my own creepy clown costume for Halloween.
I recently saw the tv series, which the had turned into a two part movie. The first night we saw what heppened to the kids, the next day they showed what happened later to the adults. I was seriously disappointed by the second part, mostly because the acting of some of the adults sucked. I hope the new version is better
@Karlijn I agree with you about some of the acting, or over acting in my opinion. But what horror movies of the 90's lacked in good drama they made up for with a heightened creep factor. And um.. @Vassago I'm totally not hitting on you, but I suddenly find myself very attracted to you. Let's not let this ruin our friendship ok?
I admit to nothing. But hypothetically speaking, if I did have a clown fetish, Tim Curry would be to blame.
Just gonna leave this here Sorry to any coulrophobics, you probably shouldn't be in this thread to begin with.
I'm skeptical, but the trailer is pretty good. The original scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid so this one will definitely strike a nerve. Pumped the homie Finn is in this one!
@Mark CM In the trailer it looks like all the kids cast are doing a pretty good job. I hope they all had to watch the original in preparation for this one Now my question is, will the new version be in two parts? Or just an extra long movie? I've got my fingers crossed for two.
I would also like to add that I just watched "Adults react to IT trailer" on YouTube and it was interesting. They showed a bunch of people the new trailer and then the trailer for the original but with like Beetlejuice music or some shit. Almost everyone said the new one looks way scarier.
I think the remake is one movie. They filmed it around Port Hope last year. I can try to get some intel from my friends who work in film. I must know somebody who worked on it. I bet the kids didn't watch the original just so their take on the material is genuine. Better to go into it blind.
Yes please do ask. When I first heard about it I thought for sure it would be filmed here or in Victoria.
K I'll send out feelers and see what I can find out. They're usually sworn to some kind of secrecy but I can probably get that much out of them.
