Does anyone go to a theatre that’s not a big chain? There’s one where I’m from called the Plaza. It’s a small theatre and they play both new and old movies. Something about it is just so much more fun to me than going to the big theatre at the mall.
If I can find a movie theater that prohibits people from playing with their phones during the movie, I might give them a try. I stopped going to movie theaters about 10 years ago because of the phonetards.
I went to a movie with a friend once and they kept talking to me during the movie, I was so embarrassed I couldn’t move
Yes, that's another thing that people seem to do more of now than when I was a kid. It's hard to get immersed in the movie when people are making all kinds of noise and the theater is lit up like the 4th of July.
I never go to big (chain) theatres, because the sounds is always MUCH TOO LOUD! There's a small theatre right here in the city where I sometimes go, but they usually have older movies, which is fine by me. I don't have to be one of the first to see a movie.
You go there?! Do they still do the rocky horror picture show where everyone dresses up? That was a lot of fun when I was a teenager
