Not watching it, but isn’t Allah the name given to God by the Muslim faith? Same thing, same scripture
My restaurant is called The Restaurant.
You know there are people who follow other religions than Islam, right?
Such as: Buddhism, Christianity, Catholicism, Shinto, Hinduism, Judaism, a bunch of Native American religions, Taoism, and some others that I probably forgot to mention.
Isn't that a bit rude to people who follow other religions, especially polytheistic ones? (Polytheism is the term for a religion which has multiple gods/deities. For example, Buddhists believe in multiple gods/deities.)
Not to mention Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism and Muslims belief systems are all based on the same texts, as are Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses. They all have different interpretations, but they’re not different in any meaningful way.
Buddhists don't even believe in God.
The Chinese merely incorporates the Buddha into their folk religion.
What's interesting is that of all the major Abrahamic religions, Judaism is the only one that doesn't encourage spreading its teachings, yet it still has a considerable number of people following them.
It is because of the folks who aggressively impose their belief that others believers have to deal with constant criticism. It just doesn't work that way.
Are there any Muslims on here?
That's because it's an extremely racist and tribalistic religion. These ideas are deeply embedded in the Tanakh and even more vulgar in the Midrash. Even in the New Testament the idea still appeares;
The Faith of a Canaanite Woman
21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”
23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”
25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.
26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.
Matthew 15:21-28 New International Version (NIV)
Oh shit, my bad. I mean Hinduism.
My favorite religion is Tengriism, right now.
Yeah, I'm familiar with this episode. The contemporary clergy of the Christian Church have stopped concealing the fact that of all the peoples that exist God indeed used to favor just one. They claim it has changed now, though. But it's hard to get a straight answer as to why they have come to this conclusion.
What's more interesting is the reason why the early Church didn't just leave out that episode as it did to so many other scriptures not included in the modern Bible.
Probably because they just don't see it as problematic or that it was so widely circulated among the churches as such that it is impossible to omit it.
It changed mainly due to the early apostles such as Paul and Barnabas. They were foremost in attracting more and more gentiles.
I feel kink-shamed by this post.
