I think that Satan's greatest way to get people to not believe in God is through science because science makes it seem that God doesn't exist. And for those that that doesn't work on, he will give them the offer, through humans or through something else that doesn't give away his existence, that would you rather have life on Earth be bettered or would you rather worship an authoritarian God and follow His arbitrary rules? This offer is to hide the fact that if you take the "better life on Earth" option and will get it, it will be at the expense of eternal life in Heaven after you die.
I was somewhere between Baku and Ankara, slumbering myself amidst the pillows of a tiny caravanserai when I heard someone knocking on my door - it was the lodging owner. "Effendi, I have good offer for you today", she said. "What is it?", I asked. "A wandering Kipchak is looking to finance her travel for Ankara.", she answered gleefully. "I'm not swimming in dinar but how much is your cut?", I inquired. "Ten percent." "Oh, why not? It's better than sleeping alone. Where is she?" "Outside, by the stable. She's grooming her horse." "Fine I guess, I'll negotiate with her there."
Science, whenever it disagrees with The Word, must be discarded, as anything that does not agree with God is clearly faulty.
I think that God encourages scientific scholarship because Muhammed does and followers of Christianity, Islam and Judaism all worship the same God.
I went outside and found her by the stable as the lodging owner told me. She was sitting near her horse with her back against my sight. I can hear her murmured something like a folk song. I don't understand their language but the tune was rather melancholic. "Salam.", I greeted her courteously. She stopped singing. "Did the lodging owner send you?", she asked. "Indeed. How much would it be?", I inquired. "All the expenses along the road till we part ways in Ankara." "Sure, I have enough to cover the journey for two." She stood up and turned her back and I finally saw her face.
