I wanna be the person that goes around, armed with a cattle prod, and collects peoples' phones into a large trash bag in a movie theater before the movie starts.
But you have to remember that Jesus' mission was to die on the cross or at least a painful death. He was looking forward to it for a large majority of his life, therefore pain is probably super pleasurable for him. So crucifixion was the ultimate euphoria.
Oh yeah because Christ was/is God's son. Is he coming back anytime soon to wage Holy War on the armies of Satan? Perhaps in the Holy land one more time?
But I thought that in the Old Testament, Satan, like the one that persuaded God to **** with Job, was actually a helper of God. And the evil polar opposite of God, Satan, was borrowed from Zoroastrianism? I'm not sure.
Yeah honestly it's all fucked up depending on which group you adhere too. So many different beliefs and religions and people messing around with it all it's become so convoluted it's completely unintelligible. The story I mean and what is supposed to happen or is going to happen. So no, I don't believe the bible or Christianity even knows what is going to happen, it's just a faith system to rely on when you can't explain the unexplainable. In my humble opinion. Lol
^ Christianity had good intentions in the beginning, at least a little. It gave peasants who had brutal lives some comfort and some resolve to help them bear it because of a Salvation that awaits them. It made Paul and others give to the poor, too.
Yeah thats true. Didn't Paul also talk to Emperor Nero too about the destruction of the Empire? And then he fiddled while Rome burned? That was all the same timeline you know, crazy stuff. Christianity has made it's mark but I don't like how easily manipulated it is or how simple it is in a world of complexities/mysteries.
Yes, this exactly. It has been hi-jacked so many bloody times on so many different scales. I just don't want anymore repeats or wars in the name of God ugh
I just want people to be rational and skeptical, and believe things only when the evidence warrants it.
And the whole Muslims vs Christians thing is just outright contrary to the Bible, anyways. I mean, Allah is the Judeo-Christian God. And why was there so much anti-semitism in Christian history? The Jews are the chosen people of the God they worship, lol.
All humans are the same though, skeletons under flesh with brains running electro-chemically, no one is the "chosen" of any superior God creatures. I don't like how the Jews prop themselves up as being "special" it's just as dangerous/racist as when Hitler did it with the German people. It's too simple of a rationale and it's based on garbage facts.
