What career or job could you already have without increased schooling or no need for educational upgrading at all. And if, what are the reasons holding you back from said. Be it location of living, parents, funding or other setbacks.

It is difficult for myself since my residence is on an island that has hardly any career paths over the most basic

With what you know, where could you be?

I'm in IT, it pays well and challenges me intellectually, but often I wish I were working a more physical job. I have other experience that would qualify me for various positions in the construction (especially housing) industry, so I could do that without further training.

That what you mean @Cib3rNaut ?

Yeah like how many people, already have enough skills and knowledge to have a high paying job. Yet are trapped by unforeseen circumstances. I am going back to school for House Building in a few weeks, although could already have a career in something despite the City I live in offering no real opportunities for the younger generations.

I took marketing and worked in that field for almost 4 years. I finished and since then I have done nothing with my education. I am in a transitional period between schooling as it is something you need in order to move ahead.. which is really unfortunate, and not only is it a matter of getting more schooling but there other things that need to be factored in like experience and knowledge of the field you're wanting to enter. Networking plays a huge role, talking to people and interning is something you may need to do in order for you to get your foot in the door. I did have to relocate with what I am wanting to do and that is sometimes the choice you have to make in order to progress in life. I am in a city, where I virtually know no one and go to a school where I am just a number, but these are the things that we have to do if we want to succeed.

Yeah, my last job was just that a job. Would probably have still been there as was going to complete a full five years as an assistant manager including my previous work experience. I have a real problem with certain co-workers under a certain pay scale that do not understand how to act in public or in the workplace, It has taken place at several of my previous places of employment.

This last time was so incredibly bad that this particular co worker should have been in prison or an institution for convicts, It's incredible going around to different workplaces and seeing how many employees are abused and harassed yet never leave cause they need the constant paychecks or feel extremely handled by others as not to leave due to bullying tactics. Literally never been afraid in my entire life, although felt afraid for others personal safety around certain co-workers.

Like no one should be worried that someone is gonna rape and kill someone at work or after hours, oh and what others do to cover for these particular individuals is also considered more of an offense to myself then the actual crimes themselves.

When you can see the amount of crimes and complaints being committed right in front of yourself and it happens to be dozens you know it's time to leave. What type of businesses in this day and age doesn't use Criminal Record Checks and backs these type of employees over ones that have been there many, many years.

Being a politician used to require a life with no skeletons in your closet, but that seems to have passed

I think politicians have always had skeletons, but the age of social media made most skeletons visible and now we’re just getting deep enough into the social media age that we’ve become desensitized to the skeletons.

Everyone does, but political leaders used to be held to a higher standard, and exposed skeletons usually meant the end of a political career

Then the US elected a guy who bragged about groping women and seeing underage girls naked at the pagents he ran... and apparently frequently invited the girls back to his suite “if they wanted to win”
