Clerks is brilliant, pretty much all of Kevin Smith’s catalogue is - they rely heavily on witty dialogue and thought, and they overflow with both

We've had this discussion before everything view askew was great Dogma, Mallrats, etc. I actually met the actor that gets the "chocolate covered pretzel" and it feels more nostalgic being a resident of New Jersey where Clerks originated.

I googled it and it said Kevin Smith wanted to go with a mall in New Jersey but it was cheaper to film in a mall somewhere in Minnesota. Makes sense to me, everything in New Jersey is fucking expensive.
