The new one, wind down from the theatre lol we went to moana.
Theatre not so popular after they went digital projection, steady decline since then. Had to be the cigarette burns being removed from the reel that made everyone so disappointed.
Rewatched Winter's Bone over the weekend. John Fuckin' Hawkes.
Speaking of which, "Too Late" just got added to Canadian Netflix. Highly recommended, although to @Cib3rNaut's post above, it truly needs to be seen projected on 35mm for the full effect. I'm sure it'll hold up though. Great film.
I figured it was the missing frame of porno.
Nah all the missing frames are filled in with you and Wrecky boning, that is no secret
A Christmas Story.
One Night in Paris
Just watched Hail, Caesar! on TV and liked it a lot. The marketing of the film didn't appeal to me at all, but I like most of the Coen Brothers stuff. Certainly not their best, but a lot to like about it.
Going to see LA LA Land tomorrow. None of my friends are willing to see it, so going it solo
Trying to convince my girlfriend to drive to the nearest city to the buttfuck nowhere of the in-laws house to see it before the end of the year. Dying of secondhand smoke inhalation and need to go somewhere. Let me know if you like it!
Also, I've never understood why people don't go to the movies alone more. You're sitting in the dark staring at a screen. Not really something you need somebody else to do. Although I appreciate if you want to talk about it afterwards.
I watched TimeCop for the second time
I don't mind going alone at all and do it frequently. But to the theaters is a 90 minute transit trip each way. So if I'm doing that, it's nice to meet up with a friend before the movie, grab some food, then talk afterwards. Makes it a more worthwhile day.
And La La Land was pretty fantastic. Possibly my favorite film of the year. One of the best movies of its type ever made imo
Good to hear!
And yeah, a movie-length trip each way would be much easier to handle with a friend. Especially one who can drive!
It's weird going to the movie theater alone, almost feels as if you are being watched while being watched lol. Which is partially the truth because everyone is secretly commenting afterwards on how you are the only dude in there by yourself.
That doesn't happen. People don't give a shit. They're too busy looking at their phones after the movie.
I'm usually one of those commenting
They probably go home and have fetishes about single people sitting in the theater by themselves. It's common knowledge. People usually make loud awkward comments or troll the solo seating individuals.
The single cinema fetish will be widely recognised in years to come
Especially when you go Hans Solo
Now that's something completely different
