    Nuts tend to be really expensive in Canada compared to other places. Like, I went to buy a container of cashews in Vancouver, $20, same package at a Safeway in Washington was $3.95 - same brand, same package, same company selling them. Went to the Walmart in Bellingham, same size package, different brand, $1.95

    It might have been labelled, "organic," so they can ratchet up the price. They do that. :)

    Nah, we get abused when it comes to grocery prices, started when our dollar was pretty worthless, so prices went up, but when the dollar got stronger they didn’t adjust to compensate to increase profits

    Do you think that that was on purpose? To lower the value of the Canadian dollar to drive up prices and keep it the same after it had become stronger.

    I think that not lowering prices when the dollar got stronger was on purpose, because grocery is usually pretty low margin, and they wanted to make more money
