When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grow up?

We all wanted to be something when we grew up. Did you become what you wanted? If not, was it due to change of heart, passed by the opportunity, or something else?

 

Veterinarian. I'm actually super allergic to dogs now. Lol

I'm a nutritionist! I absolutely love it, no regrets.

 

That sounds great. Everyone I’ve met in that field has nothing but good things to say.

I wanted to be a firefighter. That fizzled by junior high and I lost any career ambition. I’m more work to enjoy life. I currently work in the oilfield and my work schedule gives me the freedom to adventure. So it works for me right now.

 

I wanted to be a teacher. Mission accomplished and then some.

 

I wanted to be a pilot but then I realised I needed money to do that

 

Elaborate the “then some”. I’m curious.

 

It takes an insane amount of money, my friend just sold his Jeep, and his 1972 mustangs grande w/429 cobra jet to take flight school. I couldn’t do it, that’s smart people stuff.

 

Rich people stuff* mostly. What's it, like £100k for flight school?

 

I think he said something like $92,000 CAD

 

Is that anything similar to a naturopath?

Not really. I deal more with physical goals instead of trying to "heal" people

 

I taught a magnitude of grade levels, continued going to college, and ended as a university professor.

 

That sounds very rewarding. Are you going to get Tenure?

 

No. I had to stop teaching when I became disabled.

 

That's very sad. What are you up to now?

 

Now I am sitting in my apartment doing whatever the hell I want to do. LOL! Seriously, I'm working on a couple of novels. If I can get offline long enough to finish either of them.
