Like in treat: Where are all the forum post gone? WTF?
Exactly what I was telling @catbert
It would seem that everything got reset yesterday.
Of course, as usual, admins are silent
@SadikB @Timo @zax91
(And, it would seem we can no longer see the entire user list)
You are correct that that is what is done! But who did that now, is a mystery!
What kind of mystery? It seems like done accidently and no one wants to take the responsibility.
I think there's another thread where @Kevinovich explains.
IT WAS ME
Actually a lot of the forums were deleted maliciously last year - the old admin believed it was the guys from the site started by Nex refugees. Regardless, we should have caught it.
And in any case, we pretty well had to start fresh with this site.
Mark is the admin now - Sadik is the developer.
Was this in July? or November? I'm trying to get all these bits of information straight in my head....
I really don't remember. Last time the "old"/original site existed. Probably 12-18 months ago.
Seems like your developer is a window licking retard, considering all he did was setup a fresh installation of Xen Foro...
@Vassago is this true?
Lol, that's exactly what happened.
Zax91, that idiot that was left in charge as the sole active admin didn't know anything about the history of Nexopia or its users or anything. He tried in vain to get logists to come back to Nexopia but we just told him to eat shit and laughed. But then he thought that if he gave out incentives like Plus (lol) it might bring some people back. That didn't work, so then he moved on to giving them admin powers, hoping that might work.
Well, that sure did work, but he didn't know who macjames was and that he was the last person that should be getting admin powers. So soon after macjames and KirbyDad (AKA KirbyKid) had all the power, they went and used it to delete every single thread in every forum that was ever created. At the time they didn't expect much to come of it, since Nexopia has a backup system.
Unfortunately for zax91, he had no idea how to fix the problem or what to do, so 24 hours later Nexopia automatically backed up over it's old backup and everything was lost for good. I'm sure that they could have rolled it back if they knew what they were doing, I'm sure there had to be more than one backup, but when you leave someone in charge that doesn't know what they're doing, that's the kind of shit you end up with.
I was just about to say, why the hell did they overwrite their backup over the previous one? What if your system crashes in the middle of your backup? What if your backup gates damaged somehow? I know little about computers, but even I know that's stupid.
Wow mac james and Kirbykid can smd
Countless nudibranch threads lost forever smh
