I've got an ancient Samsung Series 3 I got 6 years ago, but I primarily use my custom desktop these days.
Does anyone know if it's difficult to replace windows with linux? I could ask my dad, but I'd rather do it myself and then casually let him know that I did it and pretend I'm a nerd girl
If you put it on a different partition than the partition you have Windows on, you shouldn't need to save everything it'll just remain in the partition, but that means actually partitioning the drive. You can do this in Windows, aka set aside another drive letter(ie. :E, :F) for your Linux installation, then all you need to do is insert the disc and restart the computer to install it amiright?
Oh I have two partitions, so I just have to move all my stuff from one partition to the other to free it up?
Yeah you could do that, what I would do though is use some of the free space I have remaining to create a whole new partition just for Linux. But that's just me you'll do whats best for you...
